Today, June 5th, is World Environment Day. A day to notice and appreciate what is all around us and think about our own role in the environment. I know that everything I do daily impacts our environment, from choosing to wash my scuzzy car during a drought to choosing to turn down my hot water heater even though taking hot showers to me is one of the best things in life. I’m practicing through my personal and professional life to be more conscious of my role in the fabric of our environment and I hope by next World Environment Day I can look back and see the measurable steps I’ve take to live more lightly on the Earth.

We can’t turn our back on the environment, it’s all around us. We are lucky.
