Backyard Wildlife

Just outside our home near Saguaro National Park, animals large and small roam through the Sonoran Desert and we happily witness their wild beauty. As my family and I retreated home to wait out the Covid-19 pandemic, I found daily inspiration watching wildlife through a network of trail cameras.

Filmed in 2021 with six cameras on three acres.
Wildlife highlights from 2020 around my home.
Animals on the move through our wash.
A retired badger burrow gets a lot of wildlife action in our front yard.
Even gila monsters trigger my trail cameras! Watch this round-tailed squirrel follow this one out of our front yard burrow.
A minute of zen from our watering hole under a flowering Palo Verde tree on the morning of April 24, 2020. Spot Gambel’s quail, cactus wren eating a bee, house finches, curve-billed thrashers, mourning doves, Harris’ antelope squirrel, desert cottontail, and a zebra-striped lizard.
