Over the holidays, I entered the surreal and amusing world of Legoland. To my surprise, I found myself in a miniature world of redwoods. Endor, the Star Wars forest moon and home to beloved Ewoks, came to life among small-stature redwoods laden with an intricate lego version of the treehouse village. Not far away, I took a brief tour of the United States and saw a miniature version of Ferndale, complete an operational logging mill and bonsai redwoods in and around lego buildings true to this north coast town’s Victorian charm.

Redwoods are such a component of the American psyche, they maintain a prominent place in our cultural identity. They’re at Legoland, so it must be true!
